Artists

Different wines have different sound! Tuomas A. Turunen is the man behind the piano, but the sound palette of his compositions often need other elements too. On our concerts, the stage might be shared with featuring artists such as:

Pauli Lyytinen

The timbre of the woodwinds is an unavoidable element in the wine compositions. The Finnish saxophone player Pauli Lyytinen is known for streching the limits of what can played with soprano, tenor and bass saxophones. He expands his expression through various analog and digital effects, and more than a cherry on top, he also masters the EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument). From full-bodied reds to vivid sparklings – no wine could be excluded from Pauli’s innovative, unique sonic universe.

Pauli has been described as “probably the most talented multi reed instrumentalist of the young generation” (Helsingin Sanomat). He has won the 1st prize of Jukka Perko saxophone contest in 2007, and he has obtained the highly acclaimed Ted Curson Award at Pori Jazz Festival 2017.
